TORONTO,
March 1st 2001 - The design and marketing expertise of
Minimidimaxi - The Canadian Fashion Stage has seen the Web
site of Toronto fashion designer Ula Zukowska score a major
international coup, placing among the five finalists in the
e-commerce division of the prestigious Flash Film Festival.
The Festival competition and gala, known as the "Oscars of
Flash design", was held during "Flash Forward 2001" conference
in San Francisco last February 19. The awards honour the best
creative work on the Web using the well-known Flash animation
software. A jury of top Flash designers and developers chose
Zukowska's site - www.ula2.com - from more than 1,500 nominations.
Minimidimaxi - The Canadian Fashion Stage (minimidimaxi.com)
is a sophisticated electronic marketplace for Canada's dynamic
fashion and apparel industry. It is unique in the range and
depth of its services, designed to provide all segments of
the industry with affordable access to information, B2B networking
and promotion. Art direction, Web design and Internet marketing
are core Minimidimaxi client services.
"By using web media in exciting and innovative ways, we help
our clients to increase their brand/product exposure," said
Anita Wypych, COO and Creative Director of Minimidimaxi -
Canadian Fashion Stage. "The Flash Festival drew thousands
of visitors; word of this award has the potential to bring
many thousand more to ula2.com. This will provide brand recognition
to Ula Zukowska designs that would be very difficult to obtain
through traditional advertising."
Ula2 Inc., a fashion and furniture design and manufacturing
company, launched its Web site just two months ago. The targeted
Internet marketing provided by Minimidimaxi has placed the
Web site in all major fashion portals in the United States,
Europe and Japan. Among other marketing breakthroughs, Zukowska
has become the first Canadian designer to be listed in FTV.com
- a 24-hour European Fashion TV channel.
"I had been considering the Internet as a promotional venue
for some time, " said Zukowska, "but only now can I really
see its tremendous value. My Web site has given my designs
extra exposure, garnered me new clients and saved me a lot
of time and money. Now, I can't wait to put my new collection
on-line!"
Ula Zukowska's fall/winter 2001 collection fashion show and
Ula2 furniture will be showcased at 2 p.m. this March 21 at
the Bata Shoe Museum. A multimedia presentation, prepared
by Minimidimaxi, will feature highlights of the ula2.com Web
site at the Museum show. Those wishing to attend must RSVP
by March 20 at (416) 348-0007.
