FRËTT
DESIGN
FALL/WINTER 2002
Frëtt
Design by Michelle Secours staged a lavish show at the Spectrum, performance
venue extraordinaire, for Montreal Fashion Week. The live layered jungle
techno of Tippy Agogo was eclipsed only by a fantastic tricots and fur
collection infused with true Québecois verve.
Frëtt
is luxurious. Fur and wool are fused expertly in the collection, whether
it be the fur-lined v-neck ecru dress with pagoda sleeves, the fur patchwork
vest or the comfortably hanging fur-lined knit caftans. Frëtt also
has a hand in this season's trend of blurring the line between coat
and top. The label shines brightest with the tribal print, as seen in
the ecru wraparound skirt and top with rolled epaulets.
Michelle
Secours' creations also appeared in the Furworks Canada presentation,
designing for Antonio Proietti. With 38 points of sale in Canada and
the U.S. for Frëtt Design, Secours is bound to convince many more
that touches of fur in all the right places can be at once platyful,
chic and luxurious
