THIEN LE SPRING/SUMMER 2002
For Spring
2002, Thien Le puts together a synergistically thematic collection,
giving confident women 25 and above a way to bask in their femininity.
The collection is light and refreshing, with a black and white double-layered
chiffon dress with off-the-shoulder peel-away leading the way. Black
and cream culottes reinforce Le's position that looking good is supposed
to be a comfortable thing. Bold colour combinations liven the offerings
with Spanish notes, as can be seen in the bias-cut yellow jersey gown
with crimson floral appliqué. An implied motion weaves its seductive
ways in Thien Le's garments: the structure seems to unfurl from the
top down in a gentle, organic way.
This delicate touch pervades the collection, no doubt an asset when
dressing Miss Canada International.
