kamkyl
Fall/winter 2003
A live
performance by Grammy-winning artist Itaal Shur and DJ Lux set the stage
for kamkyl fall/winter 2003/4, an urban mix of modern luxury showcased
on February 7th during New York Fashion Week. The authentic vibe of
the music was due to combining up-tempo hip-hop beat with rock guitars,
reflecting the fast pace, avant-garde urban look of kamkyl's collection.
The collection,
inspired by childhood memories of the textile mill town outside of Manchester
in Nothern England, combines earthy browns, brick reds and soft grays
in a fusion of modern plaid patterns, circled waxed cottons and cashmere
knits. It has a comfortable feel, but still offers an incredible range
of choices for both day and evening, satisfying both practical and edgy
menswear styles.
It' great to see kamkyl's comittment to the continued promotion of the
label outside of Canada, bringing fresh ideas and exceptional tailoring
to international buyers.
