FASHION DESIGNERS COLLECTIONS FOR SPRING-SUMMER 2003

LUK by Luc LaRoche
Spring/Summer 2003

Luk's spring/summer 2003 collection is reflective of the label's back-to-basics attitude, as black and white separates for men and women make their mark with a clean club look. It is in this kind of basic collection that details take centre stage. The v-neck alterations in men's and women's tops as well as the white soccer stripes on the black mini-jupe take possession of the actual garments. Some three-piece combinations of white linen overlayed with black organza mesh shows that this label is determined to cover all the bases.

Luc Laroche perhaps best articulates the term designer apparel better than any designer we've seen. All the elements are there: basic separates in crisp, comfortable cottons and linens, all with the designer touch and matching price tag. These past few seasons, Laroche has successfully re-oriented his label to give a clearer picture of a misunderstood niche.
